📖 About this office
The Tropico Station post office sits at 120 East Chevy Chase Drive, just south of downtown in Glendale's historic Tropico neighborhood near the Adams Hill and Chevy Chase corridors. This smaller neighborhood branch gives residents on the south side of the city a closer alternative to the busier Broadway counter.
Like other USPS acceptance branches, Tropico Station takes in first-time passport applications, applications for minors, and renewals that must be filed in person rather than by mail. A postal agent reviews your DS-11, witnesses your signature, verifies your citizenship and identity documents, and forwards the sealed package to the State Department for processing.
Because it is a compact station, passport service is offered by appointment, and slots are limited. Applicants who cannot find a convenient time here often check the downtown branch listed on our Glendale acceptance page as well.
💡 Good to know
Call ahead or use the USPS scheduler to confirm passport hours before visiting, since a neighborhood station keeps fewer acceptance slots than a main office. If nothing is open soon, the Glendale Main Post Office handles higher volume, and you can weigh both against other nearby cities in our California listings.
