📖 About this office
The Glendale Main Post Office anchors downtown Glendale at 313 East Broadway, a short walk from the Alex Theatre and the Americana at Brand shopping district. Housed in a historic 1930s building, this is the busiest passport acceptance counter in the city and the one most Glendale residents turn to when they need to submit a new application.
Postal clerks here process first-time applications, applications for children, and any renewal that cannot be mailed in (for example, a passport issued when the holder was under 16, or one that was lost, stolen, or badly damaged). Because demand in this part of Los Angeles County runs high, the counter accepts passport applicants by appointment through the USPS scheduler rather than on a walk-in basis.
Applicants should arrive with a completed but unsigned DS-11, original proof of citizenship plus a photocopy, and a valid photo ID. Passport photos are taken on site for an added fee. For an overview of every acceptance point in the city, see our Glendale passport office guide.
💡 Good to know
Book your slot ahead of time through the USPS Retail Customer Appointment Scheduler; the Broadway counter fills quickly during spring and early summer travel season. If this location is booked, the second Glendale branch listed on our city page may have earlier openings, and travelers across the state can compare options through our California passport directory.
