📖 About this office
The Beckley Post Office on Industrial Drive is a USPS passport acceptance facility, and it adds one thing the downtown county clerk doesn't: passport photos taken on site, so you can complete photo and application in a single trip. Located north of the town center, it's an easy stop for anyone applying for a first adult passport or a child's passport who wants everything handled in one place.
Passport service here runs mostly by appointment, which you schedule through the USPS system rather than by walking in. Staff act as acceptance agents, witnessing your signature and mailing the sealed application to the State Department. As with any acceptance facility, it can't produce a passport the same day; for genuine emergencies you would need the regional agency covered on our West Virginia guide, which is in Washington, DC.
💡 Good to know
Book your slot online through the USPS scheduler before arriving, since counter passport hours are limited and largely by appointment. Have your citizenship document, photo ID and DS-11 ready; you can add the photo at the counter. Parking is straightforward at this Industrial Drive location, and if the calendar is full you can fall back on the Raleigh County Circuit Clerk downtown.
