📖 About this office
The Center, the City of Oak Harbor's senior center on SE Jerome Street downtown, doubles as a passport acceptance facility run by the city. Despite the name, the service is open to applicants of all ages — families and first-time adult applicants use it just as often as retirees — making it a relaxed, city-run alternative to the Oak Harbor post office a short drive away.
Applications are taken by appointment, and staff can take your passport photo at the time of your visit for a small fee. It's a convenient downtown option for anyone gathering a first passport or applying for a child in Oak Harbor; renewals that qualify for the mail-in DS-82 don't need to come in at all.
💡 Good to know
Book your appointment ahead by phone or online — this is not a walk-in service. Photos can be taken here for a small fee, so you don't need to arrive with one. If you're only renewing and qualify for the DS-82 form, skip the appointment and mail your renewal directly; the eligibility rules are summarized on the Washington state page.
