The Vermont Passport Agency at 50 South Main Street is one of only a handful of U.S. Department of State passport agencies in the country, and it happens to sit right here in St. Albans. Unlike a walk-in acceptance office, this agency serves travelers with urgent, time-sensitive needs rather than routine first-time applications.
You generally qualify for an appointment if you have international travel within about two weeks, or need a foreign visa within roughly four weeks. Appointments are limited and must be booked through the National Passport Information Center or the official State Department system before you arrive.
