Weber County Clerk/Auditor

Housed on the third floor of the Weber County Administrative Building at 2380 Washington Blvd, the Weber County Clerk/Auditor office offers a notably different passport experience from the local post offices. Because this is a county government office rather than a postal facility, acceptance agents here can spend more time guiding applicants through paperwork, and on-site passport photos are available for a modest fee — a real convenience for families handling multiple applications in one visit.

Appointments are required; call (801) 399-8400 or schedule online at webercountyutah.gov to find an available time. The office accepts applications Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, excluding county holidays. For minor applicants under 16, both parents or legal guardians listed on the birth certificate must appear in person alongside the child, so plan accordingly.

Applicants weighing the two main options in the city can compare notes on the Ogden passport offices overview. For the full picture of acceptance locations across the Beehive State, the Utah passport guide has every county covered.

The Weber County Clerk/Auditor is one of the few acceptance offices in northern Utah that provides passport photos in-house, so you can complete the entire application process in a single stop. For minors under 16, both parents named on the birth certificate must attend — neither parent can waive the requirement without a notarized statement of consent. If your travel is less than three weeks away, routine or even expedited acceptance-facility service may not be sufficient; in that case, contact the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778 to discuss an urgent appointment at the Salt Lake City Passport Agency, roughly 35 miles south on I-15. Additional guidance for Utah residents is available on the Utah passport acceptance directory.
