Indiana County Prothonotary's Office

Located on the first floor of the Indiana County Courthouse at 825 Philadelphia Street, the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts office is a State Department-appointed passport acceptance agent. Staff witness your signature, seal your DS-11 and forward the packet to a regional passport facility; the office does not issue the passport itself. It is a useful weekday alternative to the post office for residents downtown or those already visiting the courthouse. This office does not take passport photos, so bring one already made from a local studio or pharmacy before you arrive.
