📖 About this office
Prairiewood Station is Fargo's south-side Post Office, near 32nd Street South and convenient to the shopping corridors, neighborhoods, and residential growth on that side of the city. For applicants living south of downtown, it is often the easier of the two Fargo counters to reach, with its own parking rather than a downtown block.
Like the main office, Prairiewood Station accepts new passport applications for adults and children, checks your identity and citizenship paperwork, witnesses your signature, and forwards the packet to the State Department. It is a practical alternative when appointment times downtown are scarce.
💡 Good to know
As with every acceptance office, applications at Prairiewood Station are taken by appointment through the USPS reservation tool, and children under 16 must appear with both parents or legal guardians. Have your citizenship proof, photo ID, and a photocopy ready. If you would rather apply closer to the city center, the downtown Fargo Main Post Office offers the same services.
