The Toms River Post Office on West Water Street houses a dedicated passport center staffed by full-time passport agents. When it opened, it was the first purpose-built passport center in central and southern New Jersey, and that focus shows: it's set up to walk families and first-time applicants through the DS-11 process and to take passport photos in the same visit. Because it's a USPS facility, appointments are scheduled through the Postal Service's online scheduler. If the post office is fully booked, the Ocean County Clerk's two counters give Toms River applicants extra flexibility.
