📖 About this office
The Laurel Main Post Office on Sawmill Road is the city's USPS passport acceptance facility, handling new adult applications, child passports and the required document verification. It's a practical choice for anyone who wants a set passport window rather than a courthouse visit.
This location offers both scheduled passport appointments and limited passport walk-in windows during the week, so there's some flexibility in how you file. If you'd rather have your photo taken alongside the paperwork, the Jones County Circuit Clerk downtown handles photos on site. Whichever you pick, run through the Mississippi passport guide for the fee breakdown and processing times before showing up.
💡 Good to know
Passport appointments are booked online through the USPS scheduler at tools.usps.com, and there are typically short mid-morning walk-in windows on certain weekdays. Call (601) 425-1408 to confirm the current schedule, since USPS passport hours differ from retail counter hours. Need on-site photos too? The Circuit Clerk's office across town offers them.
