Holland City Hall (City Clerk)

The City Clerk's office on the second floor of Holland City Hall, at 270 S. River Avenue, is a designated passport acceptance facility for the City of Holland. Staff there process first-time and children's passport applications and can take your passport photo in the office, making it a convenient one-stop option in the center of downtown. Unlike the post office, the Clerk's counter is set up for weekday hours, with a monthly Saturday session available by appointment.

City Hall is a short block from the Post Office on 8th Street, so if one is booked up the other is nearly next door — both are listed among Holland's verified passport offices. So a missing item doesn't force a second trip, check the document checklist and current fees on our Michigan passport page beforehand.

Every applicant must appear in person, and children's applications bring their own consent rules, so schedule when everyone can attend. The office handles standard submissions only — it can't expedite. If you need urgent turnaround, you'll be routed to the Detroit Passport Agency instead. For a walk-in-friendly alternative in town, the nearby downtown post office also accepts applications by appointment.
