📖 About this office
The Angola Post Office on West Harcourt Road is the passport acceptance facility for Steuben County's seat, sitting just off the main routes through town on the north side of Angola. It handles new passport applications by appointment, which makes it the go-to spot for first-time applicants and families getting passports for children. With the county clerk's acceptance desk having ended passport service in 2023, this location on the Angola passport page is the area's go-to.
Appointments are required and are booked by calling the office or scheduling through the USPS system, so it is worth reserving a slot before you drive over. After staff check your finished DS-11, witness you sign it and seal the packet for the processing center, standard timelines take over, which the Indiana passport guide lays out. For urgent trips the office cannot expedite on the spot, so plan ahead.
💡 Good to know
Parking is free in the post office lot, and the location is easy to reach off Angola's north-side roads near I-69. Call 260-665-2019 to set an appointment and ask about current photo service before you arrive. Bring your citizenship document, a valid photo ID, and a photocopy of each, plus separate payment for the application and any photo fee. The Indiana passport page details what to bring and the statewide fees.
