The City of Homestead began offering passport acceptance in house at the City Clerk's Office in October 2025, giving residents a hometown alternative to driving north toward Miami. The counter sits inside Homestead City Hall at 100 Civic Court, alongside the offices where residents already handle records requests and city business, which makes combining errands easy.
Staff here accept first-time applications, minor applications, and other cases that must be submitted in person on Form DS-11. Because it is run by the municipality rather than the postal service, it gives Homestead families a second local option when post office slots fill up during peak travel season.
