University of Florida Passport Acceptance Office

Tucked into the University of Florida's Mail and Document Services building on Radio Road, this campus passport station is one of the few acceptance facilities in Gainesville that keeps a genuine walk-in window. Although it sits inside the university, the counter is open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the wider Alachua County public alike.

Staff here execute the DS-11 application for first-time adults, children, and anyone whose prior passport was lost, stolen, or issued before age sixteen. The office also takes the required passport photo on site, which spares applicants a separate trip to a drugstore. Because it serves a busy campus, arriving early in the walk-in window is the surest way to be seen.

Parking on campus is metered and can fill fast around midday, so budget extra time. First-time applicants should bring proof of citizenship plus a photo ID and, for anyone under sixteen, both parents where possible.
