The Branford Post Office sits on Park Place in the heart of Branford Center, a short walk from the town green and easy to reach from Main Street. It is the go-to spot for shoreline residents applying for a first passport or a child's passport, and because it takes passport photos on site you can handle the application and the picture in a single appointment. That convenience makes it the busiest of Branford's two passport acceptance offices.
Applications are accepted by appointment, which you book through the USPS online scheduler rather than by dropping in. Staff act as acceptance agents for the U.S. Department of State: they witness your signature, verify your documents and seal the sealed application for mailing.
