📖 About this office
Jefferson County provides passport acceptance service at the county government campus, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, Suite 2530, on the hill overlooking Golden. As the county seat, this is a natural place for Jeffco residents to submit a first-time application while handling clerk, recording, or motor-vehicle business in the same complex.
County staff check that your DS-11 is complete, confirm your citizenship documents, witness your signature, and send everything on to the State Department. The office does not print passports; it acts as the trusted intermediary that certifies your identity.
The government center is served by RTD light rail and ample parking, making it reachable for residents across Jefferson County, not only Golden itself. Compare it with the town's post office and City Hall options on our Golden passport guide.
💡 Good to know
Appointments are recommended, and county passport hours can differ from general office hours, so confirm times before visiting. Since this office draws applicants from across the county, mid-week mornings tend to be quieter. Other choices are listed on our Golden page and across Colorado.
