📖 About this office
Broomfield's government-run passport service operates out of the George Di Ciero City and County Building on One DesCombes Drive, the same civic-center campus that houses the Broomfield Library and sits beside the Paul Derda Recreation Center. As a U.S. Department of State designated acceptance facility, staff here verify your identity, witness your signature, and forward your DS-11 application to the State Department — the standard process for first-time applicants, children, and anyone who can't renew by mail.
The big draw is convenience: it's centrally located for residents across the city and county of Broomfield, with free public parking in the lots south and west of the building. One thing to plan around — this office does not take passport photos, so bring one already made, or stop by a local studio or the nearby Eagle View post office first. Our Colorado state guide runs through every fee and required document that applies across the state.
💡 Good to know
Call ahead to book — appointments are required and drop-ins aren't accepted. Because staff can't photograph you here, get your passport photo beforehand; a quick option is the Eagle View Station post office across town, which does take photos. Since ID rules, processing times and fees hold statewide, we've listed them once on our Colorado passport page.
