📖 About this office
The Dobson Station post office on West Broadway Road is one of Mesa's designated USPS passport acceptance points, serving the western side of the city near the Dobson and Alma School corridors. It is a practical choice for families in west Mesa, Tempe-adjacent neighborhoods, and nearby Guadalupe who want to lodge a first-time application close to home.
As with all USPS acceptance windows, service here is strictly by appointment — call 480-894-9468 to reserve a time rather than dropping in. A clerk checks your documents, watches you sign Form DS-11, and mails the sealed application to the State Department. Passport photos are typically available on site. If Dobson's calendar is booked, the Falcon Field branch across town, also listed on our Mesa office page, is the other USPS option.
💡 Good to know
Book early — acceptance slots at busy Valley post offices fill quickly ahead of spring break and summer travel. Bring proof of citizenship, a photo ID, and photocopies of both, and be ready to pay the State Department fee by check plus the USPS execution fee. For renewals you may qualify to mail Form DS-82 yourself, and our Mesa guide explains when that applies.
