📖 About this office
USPS Mendenhall Station serves the Mendenhall Valley neighborhood of Juneau — a suburban corridor near the famous Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau International Airport. Located at 9491 Vintage Blvd., this branch is the preferred acceptance point for residents of the valley's growing residential communities, where many families are completing first-time and child passport applications.
Like all USPS passport acceptance locations, Mendenhall Station requires a scheduled appointment, which applicants can book online at tools.usps.com/rcas/. The appointment typically takes 15–20 minutes when all documents are prepared: a signed DS-11 application, proof of citizenship (original birth certificate or naturalization certificate), a current photo ID, and two 2x2 inch passport photos. Passport photos are available on-site at this location, making it a convenient one-stop option for valley families.
For additional acceptance facilities and planning information for Alaska's capital, visit the Juneau passport offices page or browse the complete Alaska passport directory.
💡 Good to know
Mendenhall Station is one of the few Juneau USPS locations offering passport photo services, which streamlines the application process for first-time applicants. Schedule your appointment well in advance during summer travel season, when Juneau's tourism peak also drives up local appointment demand. Residents with departures within 14 days should contact the Seattle Passport Agency for urgent appointments. More details on the Juneau passport offices page.
