📖 About this office
The passport office at Angelo State University, run through its Center for International Studies in the East Office Annex, is a full acceptance facility that is open to the general public, not just students and staff. It offers all the standard U.S. Postal Service passport services, including photos, first-time applications, child applications and renewals of the DS-11 variety, and it has earned a perfect review from the Houston Passport Agency's oversight program.
For anyone near the ASU campus or the Johnson Street area it's a handy alternative to the city's post offices, with steady weekday hours during the school year. If its Friday afternoon closure doesn't fit your schedule, the Main Post Office or Southwest Station cover the rest of the week.
💡 Good to know
Hours follow the campus calendar: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday, and the office also hosts passport fairs each fall and spring semester. It is a fine spot for a first-time applicant; bring proof of citizenship and a photo ID. The full checklist is on our Texas passport page, or line this up against the other San Angelo offices.
