📖 About this office

Serving as the town's main USPS branch and a designated acceptance facility, the Ashland Post Office sits on North 1st Street, a block off the plaza in the downtown core. It handles first-time and child DS-11 applications by appointment, and it is one of the few spots in Ashland where you can have your passport photo taken during the same visit, saving a separate errand.

Acceptance slots don't share the ordinary counter line, so reserve one through the USPS scheduler in advance. It is a convenient stop if you are already downtown for the theaters or shops, and it pairs well with the campus facility at Southern Oregon University if the post office is fully booked. Fees and the items to bring are on our Oregon passport guide.

💡 Good to know

Lot parking is available and the branch keeps standard weekday hours, but passport acceptance is a separate appointment, so don't just walk in expecting service. Book online first. If slots are tight, the other Ashland office may have openings.
