📖 About this office
Benton County's Records & Elections division runs passport acceptance from the Kalapuya Building at 4500 SW Research Way, in the research-park area southwest of the Oregon State University campus. (This is the county's consolidated services building — the passport desk moved here from the old downtown courthouse, so head to Research Way rather than Fourth Street.) Staff review your citizenship and identity documents, witness your signature, and forward the application to the U.S. Department of State.
The office takes passport photos on site for a small fee, which makes it a convenient one-stop for families and first-time applicants who'd rather use a government counter than a post office. It's an easy alternative to the downtown Corvallis post office, and you can check the fee schedule and required documents in advance on our Oregon passport page.
💡 Good to know
Make an appointment through the county's online scheduler or by phone at 541-766-6756 before visiting. The Kalapuya Building sits in the SW Research Way area with on-site parking, away from the tighter downtown streets. Bring your citizenship proof and photo ID; see the Oregon guide for the full checklist and fees.
