If you have never held a U.S. passport, or your last one was issued when you were under 16, this is where you submit Form DS-11 and have your citizenship documents witnessed and sealed in person.
Acceptance here runs on an appointment basis through the USPS scheduler, so plan to book before you drive over rather than expecting a walk-in slot during busy spring and summer travel weeks. Bring your completed DS-11 (leave it unsigned until the clerk tells you to sign), an original or certified birth certificate or prior passport, a photocopy of your photo ID, and separate payment for the State Department fee and the acceptance fee.
