📖 About this office
The St Charles Main Post Office on First Capitol Drive is the busiest USPS passport acceptance point in the city, sitting a short drive north of the historic Frenchtown and Main Street districts. Clerks here execute Form DS-11 for travelers who cannot renew by mail: first-time adult applicants, anyone whose most recent passport was issued before age 16, and every child under 16.
Passport work is handled by appointment rather than at the regular retail counter, so book a slot through the USPS scheduler before you arrive with your citizenship evidence, a photo ID, and photocopies. A staffed photo service is available on site if you have not already brought pictures. It is one of three acceptance desks profiled on our Saint Charles passport page.
💡 Good to know
Bring the DS-11 unsigned; it must be signed in front of the acceptance clerk. Weekday morning appointments tend to open first, so check the scheduler early. For a slower-paced desk with county photo pricing, compare the other Saint Charles offices before you book.
