📖 About this office
Inside the Canyon County Courthouse complex at 111 N. 11th Avenue, the County Clerk's office runs a passport acceptance desk on the third floor, Suite 330. It is a natural choice for Caldwell families who are already visiting the courthouse for recording, elections, or vital records, since they can handle a passport application during the same trip.
The clerk's staff accept applications for adults, children, and first-time travelers, execute Form DS-11, and forward the sealed packet to the State Department. Note that this office does not shoot passport photos on site, so arrive with a compliant photo already in hand.
Appointments are required and are booked online; the clerk keeps weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a side-by-side look at every acceptance point in town, see our Caldwell passport guide, and for offices in neighboring communities browse the Idaho directory.
💡 Good to know
Bring your fees ready: the county collects the acceptance fee by cash, check, money order, or card, but the State Department application fee must be paid separately by check or money order. Photos are not taken here, so pick one up beforehand. If the clerk's calendar is full, check the nearby Arthur Street post office for additional appointment times.
