The Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County operates one of Chicago's most distinctive passport acceptance locations inside the Richard J. Daley Center — an iconic Brutalist skyscraper in the heart of the Loop, best known for the Picasso sculpture in its plaza. The Passport Services office is in the Probate Division, Room 1202 on the 12th floor, at 50 West Washington Street.
Unlike post office locations, this is a county government office authorized by the U.S. Department of State. Passport agents here process DS-11 first-time applications and applications for minors during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. The office accepts payment for the State Department fee separately from the Clerk's acceptance fee, so applicants should come prepared with the correct amounts.
The Daley Center location puts this office squarely in the middle of Chicago's civic corridor, near CTA Blue, Brown, Orange, Green, and Pink lines at Washington/Clark and Clark/Lake stations — making it a strong choice for Loop-area workers or anyone already in the downtown area on a weekday.
