📖 About this office
The NCCU Passport Office operates from the campus of North Carolina Central University at 1801 Fayetteville Street in southeast Durham. Run through the university's Campus Enterprises, it is a State Department acceptance facility open not only to NCCU students, faculty, and staff but to the wider Durham community as well.
The office processes first-time adult and minor applications and renewals that require in-person acceptance, witnessing signatures and forwarding DS-11 packets. Its unhurried campus setting can be a welcome alternative to the busy post office counters across town.
If you are a student or simply live on the south side of the city, this location may be the most convenient of the Durham acceptance offices.
💡 Good to know
Appointments are required; call ahead to reserve a slot. Street parking is available along Nelson Street near the Student Union. This facility welcomes community applicants, so you do not need to be enrolled at the university to apply. Compare it with the rest of the Durham options to see which fits your schedule.
