📖 About this office
The Clark County Clerk's office inside the Clark County Government Center on Grand Central Parkway is a popular alternative to the post office for first-time passport applicants. Housed in the civic core of downtown Las Vegas, it pairs passport acceptance with the wider range of clerk services the county offers.
This location handles new passport applications only, so renewals that qualify for mail-in service should be sent directly to the State Department instead. A self-serve photo booth in the first-floor hallway outside the Commission Chambers lets you grab a compliant photo on the spot for a set fee, payable by card. Appointments open roughly two weeks out and fill quickly during travel season.
It is one of the busier acceptance points in Las Vegas, and its downtown setting makes it easy to combine with other errands at the government center.
💡 Good to know
Appointments here are released about 15 days in advance and disappear fast, so check the county site daily if you don't see openings. Since this office takes new applications only, anyone renewing an existing book should review the mail-in route first. For post office alternatives, see the other stations across Las Vegas.
