Open to the general public as well as students, faculty, and staff, it is a handy option for anyone living or working in the Southside and medical-district area of Birmingham.
The office accepts first-time adult and minor passport applications, witnesses signatures, and forwards completed paperwork to the State Department. It keeps weekday hours with extended evening appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which suits UAB employees and students who cannot slip away during a standard workday.
