📖 About this office
The Naperville Post Office on West Ogden Avenue is the city's flagship USPS branch and its busiest passport acceptance point. Clerks here are authorized by the U.S. Department of State to check your identification, witness your signature and forward a first-time or child application on your behalf.
Sitting on the DuPage County side of Naperville near Route 34, the Ogden Avenue counter is an easy stop for families across the west suburbs. Because acceptance is handled alongside regular retail mail service, applicants are asked to book ahead so a passport-trained clerk is on hand rather than arriving unannounced.
Bring a completed but unsigned Form DS-11, proof of citizenship, a photo ID and one 2x2 photo. If this branch is full, two other Naperville acceptance offices sit a short drive away.
💡 Good to know
Appointments fill quickly during spring and early summer travel season, so reserve well before any planned trip. For an overview of statewide options and processing rules, see our Illinois passport guide.
