The Savannah Main Post Office anchors the western edge of downtown at 2 North Fahm Street, a short hop from the Historic District and the Savannah River waterfront. As the city's main postal facility, it processes passport applications by appointment for residents of the downtown squares, the Starland District, and the neighborhoods just west of the historic core. If you live or work near the riverfront, this is often the most convenient of Savannah's two acceptance points.

This branch handles applications that must be submitted in person, including first-time applicants and children. Bring an original proof of U.S. citizenship, a valid photo ID plus a photocopy, and a passport photo that meets State Department specs.
